Students living amongst Oak Tree real estate attend the Edmond school system, which is made up of three public school districts: Edmond School District, Deer Creek School District and Oakdale School District. There is a total of four high schools, seven middle schools and 16 elementary schools in Oak Tree's public school system along with six private schools available to students in the City of Edmond.
Edmond is also home to the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian University. The University of Central Oklahoma is a four-year public university offering over 70 degree programs and Oklahoma Christian University is a four-year not for profit university offering over 50 different degree programs.
